What User doesn't like about Restaurant Ecailler - les Pavois:
Nice place to eat but big. Service was largely teenage girls but who knew the menu and wines. We had the prix fixe. Good seafood. Fish soup was nice, tuna steak well-cooked and the dorade excellent. Can recommend the café gourmand. Basic loos but good value and efficient. Wasn't keen on the hordes of teenagers around outside getting drunk. View all feedback.
We were on a tour quite a few of our group dropped in for a late lunch. The server was so sweet even though he was swamped. There was definitely a language barrier but he got everything perfect.
Good restaurant with nice service. Parking is a bit difficult. Kitchen is very good and the Tuna steak was perfect for an reasonable price

The restaurant was just in a walking distance from my hotel La Guerniere. In case of a good weather you can sit on a terrace with fantastic "water" view. The staff was friendly and the overall impression is really good.
Delicious fresh oysters, perfectly cooked fish, and melt-in-your-mouth macaron, accompanied by a wonderful fresh, fruity, dry white wine in a beautiful setting overlooking the water at Gujan Mestras. The last time we ate here was almost 10 years ago - why had we left it so long? Now we'll be looking for reasons to visit more frequently!
