the place is idyllic, filled mushrooms and local baked brie were wonderful. my wife had an excellent, simple sea bass, while I enjoyed a tasteful dish from South Portugal, sea fruit brotsuppe. if we have a complaint, the desert parts were too big! we tried the chocolate mouse with red peppercorns and a local custard filled filo teig with hazelnut served all with a beautiful bottle white douro wein washed! a afternoon... This was a great restaurant especially the location as it was in amongst the tourist trap. The food was excellent, the staff were friendly and the prices were very reasonable. The wine was exceptional and the mini kit kat’s with the bill was a nice touch.
