It is worth visiting only for the atmosphere, you will meet only locals there. I do not recommend cappuccino (very sweet, it was hard to drink it), francesinha was just a simple sandwich. But it's a cheap place with nice service. View all feedback.
I loved the timeless style and simplicity of this large cafe, and even the waiter looked as though he has been serving here for years. We only had coffees, which were fine, but it was easy to see why locals come here for a bite to eat. At a modern cafe just along the road a bowl of soup would cost 2.50 Euros here, a large bowlful was 1.40. Well done and keep it going.
A café, one out of a million, where time stopped! Coffee 0,90 cents, we had 2 wine and 2 beers for 3,50. Ofcourse we came to see the 1950’s style Architecture and interieur design.

From the moment I walked into Café Milenario it was as if I stepped back in time 50 years. Not much has changed in this locally popular dining establishment with its prominent spot occupying a corner of Largo do Toural. I enjoyed a francesinha and a cold cerveza while sitting at a table by the window where I switched off watching people come and go as well as the all important futbol match Portugal was playing (Euro 2016) on the flat panel television. Service was excellent friendly and professional. Prices are very reasonable budget dining in a most pleasant atmosphere.
