I stopped at Restaurant FLEURS D'ACACIA in Place de Provence in Guillames for lunch. The lady waitress greeted me, friendly enough as I took my seat. Eventually, she came to take my order as the restaurant was almost full and only her serving. She didn't like that I wanted a coffee before my meal, not after, and addressed the whole restaurant with how it was so wrong. I'm the customer and what I want, and in what order is my business. There were 2 upturned glasses on the table when I sat down. I'd asked for water when I ordered my meal. I was surprised when my espresso came in a bamboo takeaway/disposable cup served on a porcelain plate. She then took the drinking glasses away and brought me a jug of iced water and a bamboo disposable cup. WHY? I went inside and asked for a glass, but I got a lecture about something or other. However, I was given a glass jar that looked more like a mini vase for flowers. She then came out and addressed everybody and was clearly belittling me for wanting a glass, yet most other patrons had similar glasses for their water as had been on my table. A number of patrons appeared to ask her why the difference. I did not comprehend the conversation in French. The shining light was the food when it arrived. It was presented well with generous portions. It was clearly made with love and passion for food by Patrick. Despite the belittling by his mother, the waitress I went in and personally thank Patrick and told him how much I enjoyed my Salade Tomate Mozzarella. The food overshone the poor treatment by the waitress. The bells in the Place De Provence ring periodically.
