The building itself was unbearably hot and I felt sorry for the staff working in those conditions. However, she was very friendly and efficient. Tables outside had lovely views but could have done with a wash-down. Coffee was good.

We ordered a flat white and a hot chocolate. I was surprised when they turned up in disposable cups. Not very green ! It is only a small place, surely they can wash up a few cups ! Both drinks were barely warm and I sent mine back to be heated up. It came back hot but I left it. It was obviously made with water and not milk. It was a watery, tasteless liquid, not the hot chocolate I was expecting.

Visited for coffee and cake early afternoon, Limited choice of either a muffin or carrot cake. Tea served in disposable cups with plastic lids. Disappointed that plastic spoons are in use, for RHS, I would have expected a more eco friendly approach. Surrounding area appears to be undergoing some transformation, the lavender beds need finishing, very dusty as lots of bare patches. Hopefully this will improve once planting is finished.

The Stone Pine Cafe was a quiet and secluded spot with outdoor seating available. Although the prices were a bit high, I found it worth it for the peace and quiet. I ordered the open smoked salmon sandwich which was delicious, with generous portions of salmon on tasty bread, topped with plenty of dill. I also had a pot of Earl Grey tea which provided me with at least four decent cups. While I wouldn't spend that much on lunch every day, as a one-time treat, it was worth it and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal.

This new catering establishment at RHS Wisley Gardens opened towards the end of last year. It is located on the ground floor of a house near the Bird Hide and the Pinetum, and has been transformed into a cozy cafe. The menu features a selection of open sandwiches, salads, and cream tea options. While the quality of the food is good, the prices are on the higher side. The cafe can accommodate 16 guests indoors and 30 on the outdoor terrace. The staff is friendly and the service is quick and efficient. Overall, it offers a pleasant dining experience, but nothing particularly outstanding.
