The Italian cuisine here is absolutel... read more A Hidden Gem in Guildford We stumbled upon Shardana one evening, and it turned out to be a fabulous family-run restaurant. The Italian cuisine here is absolutely delicious, surpassing other Italian eateries we’ve tried in Guildford. Although I regret not capturing any food photos, the taste and hospitality left a lasting impression. The staff deserves a special mention. The young girl who served us was incredibly friendly and helped us choose the perfect dishes. But the highlight was our chat with Mary, who shared the captivating story behind Shardana. Learning about Sardinia and its rich culture from her was a delightful experience. Mary’s warm hospitality makes us eager to go back again soon. Highly recommended!

Visiting the UK last week I detoured on the way down to North Wales to North London just to have one of their excellent home made lunches again. It was well worth the effort as Mary and Michelle always produce fresh, well made food in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. They are geniune, fantastic people who care deeply about the food they make, and the service that they provide. Divyaraj my wait staff was a fine young man, extremely polite, efficient and a credit to the other wonderful staff who also work there. Lunchtime has always been quiter as most people don't get the hour for lunch that you would need in order not to be rushed, but they do provide a Just Eat delivery service direct to your home or workplace so you can have delicious, fresh made food whenever you want.
