Reviews - Riverview

Steak, Coffee, Cheese

Reviews summary

Tucked conveniently near the theatre, this restaurant offers a prime location but falls short on culinary execution and value. While the attentive staff and inviting atmosphere are commendable, the food varied in quality—ranging from bland mains to beautifully prepared dishes that lack seasoning. Diners noted disappointing portion sizes and a stale menu that doesn't cater to diverse dietary needs. Despite the potential for a delightful pre-show meal, many patrons suggest exploring alternatives, with some recommending the bar area for more appealing and affordable options. Overall, the experience is marred by inconsistent food quality and high prices, despite its advantageous setting.

We have booked online twice instead of calling directly as we typically do. On both occasions, the restaurant claimed to have no record of our reservations. Luckily, they were not fully booked and we were still able to be seated. In the future, we will make sure to call the restaurant directly to make our reservations.

The food at this restaurant was expertly prepared and served in a peaceful, inviting environment. The service was satisfactory, but the mandatory service charge seemed a bit steep for the level of service provided.

Great place to meet before going to the Theatre. You need to be there no later than 6:15 for a7:30 performance. It can be a little noisy as the ceiling holds the sound in.

We made a reservation for 4 people a day in advance, but when we arrived, we were scolded for booking late, which was not a pleasant way to start the evening. The restaurant was only half full. The vegetarian options were limited and there were no gluten-free desserts available. The main dishes were flavorful but seemed overpriced. The service was attentive and we had ample time before heading to the theater.

We booked twice online instead of directly, as we usually do. On both occasions, the restaurant refused all the knowledge of bookings. Fortunately, they were not full and we were served. We will make direct calls in the future.

We booked a table for 4 people 24 hours before, but on arrival 'told off' for booking late, not a good start, the restorer was half full! Vegetarian choice was poor and no pudding that was gluten-free. The most important courses were delicious, but about price. Waiting service was good and had a lot of time before the theatre started.

The food was beautifully cooked and presented in a quiet, attractive atmosphere. The service was good, although the non-discrete service fee for the service received was somewhat high.

Great place to meet in front of the theatre. You must be there by 6:15 at the latest for a 7:30 performance. It can be a little loud, as the ceiling holds the sound.

Food very mediocre with such a lovely setting what a waste of a space. Service was good, but due to lack of staff, they were turning customers away only third full. Surely not good for Profits. It could be brilliant, but not at the moment. Do not like the 12.12per cent automatically added on Bill as it can be missed. Really not good value.
