The atmosphere is very simple, but spotlessly clean, and the food more than makes up for it. I tried the Bib n bab and it was served in a heated iron pot with loads of meat, rice, fresh veggies. The server was endlessly helpful. It was my first visit and I cannot wait to go back. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Soora:
Soora seems to be the only Korean Japanese restaurant in the downtown Guelph area. I was excited to find a Korean restaurant, because Guelph doesn't seem to have good Asian food options. I went in without much expectation, because my bias is that Asian restaurants...More View all feedback.

The restaurant is family owned small business, right downtown. The owner uses REALLY fresh ingredients and the price for the food is very reasonable, as it is hard to find specific ingredients locally. The serving size is good and it's really great Guelph has a Korean restaurant.
Soort is a small, plainly decorated Korean restaurant in downtown Guelph. It is clearly popular with the Asian students in the area. We tempura vegetable appetizer was delicious - light batter, and served extremely hot, right out of the fryer. Their most popular dishes are bimbap, a mix of rice, vegetables and meat served in a wicked hot stone bowl. A homemade light soy sauce and a relatively mild hot sauce can also be added. Cold pickled black beans and kimchi were also offered on the side. The bimbap was a meal in itself - we ordered too much with appetizers. The bimbap dishes were priced in the $12 - 15 range.
I have been here twice and both times the food was great. The ramen was flavourful and filling. The pork bibimbap was also awesome - rice becomes nice and crunchy at the bottom! Both dishes I had to take home leftovers! I highly recommend this place - prices slightly high but worth it!
Food was fantastic, had spicy chicken bites and seaweed salad as appetizers, both were great, we had the marinated beef and the shrimp bimimbap and we will be back for more! Service was good, we went for dinner and would've liked there to be a bigger drink selection, but that's a minor complaint! All in all, good food and service for a good price.
