What User doesn't like about Penny Whistle British Pub:
This is my pub of choice for lunch with a big group during the week. it is a spacious place and great for conversations with friends. I've tried pretty much everyone of their curries over the years. They are pretty good. The service is efficient, good and friendly. I'd agree with some of the other reviews that it could likely do with an update but you can't say that it doesn't have character. We've had trouble a coupl... View all feedback. What User likes about Penny Whistle British Pub:
Been here a few times later in the evening, 10:00pm or so. Not very busy, though earlier in the evening I have seen sports teams here. Food is good, garlic bread, chicken Caesar, wings and burgers. Good selection of beers and ciders. They are big on Indian food, though I have never tried any here. Pop refills are not free, odd considering most places offer free refills. read moreThe Penny Whistle, a British-themed pub in Guelph, offers great curry dishes and a solid beer selection. While the decor may be outdated and the service slow on weekends, the food is consistently delicious and worth a visit. The curry fries are a standout, while other pub fare like fish and chips are also recommended. The pub ambiance, complete with old British posters and furnishings, adds to the overall experience. Friendly service, cold beer, and classic pub activities like darts make this a go-to spot for locals and visitors alike. Overall, the Penny Whistle provides a taste of Britain in the heart of Ontario.
