What User doesn't like about Five Guys:
Food is always consistent here, but something has happened with new management or owners? The fountain pop machines are always out of one thing or another. The cleanliness has also gone downhill. View all feedback.

Great fries and shake. But the burger was okay. I got three sauces but there was only mustard on it. Maybe a mishap, even then 27 for three items is mad crazy. The burger is good among other fast food burgers but not 30 dollar combo good.
Service was great. My only gripe is the same as others have said they've changed buns and they're now more crumbly. We got our burgers all the way and the fried onions sitting on the bottom bun turned it into a soggy mess.
TL;DR Burger was a mess, bun was nearly liquid, milkshakes were runny and flavourless, fries were alright. Not coming back, sad to see my favourite burger place tank this bad.I used to love Five Guys. I remember dying to find any reason to head down to south end just to get a delicious burger. So, finding myself in Guelph on the odd chance today, my wife and I stopped in and got burgers, fries, and shakes. We go there early just after opening, at about 11:40, stopping in for an early lunch. The restaurant was empty other than us, so the following comments on quality can hardly be blamed on a busy kitchen or high customer demands. We ordered two bacon cheeseburgers, a regular fry to share, and a chocolate and strawberry milkshake. The fries were great (which is about the only thing that bumped this review up to a 2 Star). Nice crunch, salted perfectly no complaints. The shakes were lackluster, the chocolate having barely any flavour at all (a big change since last time we were here and had the option of malted chocolate), and the strawberry was so filled with strawberry bits that it was more like bubble tea than a milkshake. Our $12 burgers? Not so good.We got takeout, so there 's some small consideration to be made for this (though, food should really be able to last a 10 minute car ride in the age of Food Ordering services like Skip and Uber). I drove home while my wife dove into her burger. The bun was soaking wet to the point that it literally poured not dripped out of the foil wrapper and onto our car seat. The cheese was more liquid than solid, making the entire thing a sloppy mess which my wife could only get about 3 bites into before wrapping it back up and dumping it into the bag with disgust. When we got home, I opened up my burger and, as seen in the picture, found it soaking wet as well, to the point that the bun literally had the texture of hot wax. I literally had to pull a burger bun from my freezer and throw it into the toaster to try and reclaim any of the $50 spent on the lunch. It didn 't work the toppings were saturated to the point of being slop, the patty crumbled when I tried to transfer it, and the bacon was embedded into the bun mush that I couldn 't separate it.On a more positive note the bites that I did end up getting, once all the edible food was transferred onto a structurally sound bun, we 're actually decent, showing that the Five Guys recipe for making burger patties still holds up, even if everything else falls apart.I think this is more an experience in Just because you CAN buy a franchise, doesn 't mean you SHOULD , as I speculate that, since I was last at the Guelph Five Guys, ownership has changed hands, resulting in a drop in quality or care.
Always love their burgers! Loved the place as well, recommended!
