Cora Breakfast & Lunch - Guelph

We came here on a fly by through Canada with some local friends. Also went to Denny's and Stacked. I think this gave the best food with attentive service. My main criticism would be that the menu was tooooo big. Spread over many pages with some dishes having only minor differences. As someone not familiar with this I found it overwhelming so did not order to my best. However, most of the food was tasty and enabled me to get all my calories for the day in one meal.

Just finished a visit to Cora’s with my boyfriend, I use to LOVE Cora’s and haven’t been in years I will certainly not be returning. We were seated near the cashiers station/kitchen where we got to listen to who I assume was the manager repeatedly talk to the kitchen staff about wearing hair nets and beard nets and how it’s unacceptable how often air ends up in the food WHILE we were trying to eat! Our food wasn’t all the appetizing to begin with and one of my favorite parts (the fresh fruit) wasn’t at all that. Our waitress was sitting eating around the corner and in between bites would come service our table. The staff were having loud conversations about making plans and we felt like we were sitting in a back staff room. Very in enjoyable experience, absolutely not worth $50, definitely will sadly never be returning.

Staying at the Delta in Guelph, do to covid they don't have breakfast yet. so ordered from Cora's which is less than 1 km away from the hotel. July 2nd the following occurred: 1. 10 am signed up for Cora Online and ordered Breakfast for delivery 2. 10:07 received confirmation from Cora Online that order received and breakfast would be delivered by 11 am. 3. 10:33 received message confirming breakfast being delivered by 11 am. 4. 10:57 am received message Order Cancelled from Cora Guelph unable to Process Order. 5. 10:58 Called Restaurant, they said that i would have to come pickup order now as well as go online and cancel the delivery charge and tip as they could not. The receptionist and manager stated they have nothing to do with Cora Online. I told them forget it order has been cancelled 6. July 3rd, Credit card charged in full for order, now disputing charges. RUN FOR THE HILLS the left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing and they will try and have you pay for their incompetence. 7. 11:30 Timmy's drive thru. I shared this experience with the Hotel front desk in hope's that other hotel guests won't have to go through this experience.

We visited Cora's for Father's Day brunch and were not overly impressed. Coffee was served in a mug that had lipstick on it which I politely brought to the server's attention. While she did bring me a new cup, her response was that it was not her fault as she was not the dishwasher. She then took our food order and brought out utensils which also were not clean as my fork had hardened food residue on it. At a time when we are just easing up restrictions from Covid lockdowns, I would think that more attention would have been paid to sanitation and cleanliness and a more genuine apology would have been provided. The food took forever to arrive even though the restaurant had started to quiet down. In addition, when we received our bill, the cost was not much less than what we would have paid elsewhere for dinner entrees and the food was mediocre at best. Will choose a different establishment next time.

Their food and service are great! Try going in when they first open and get a huge discount! The atmosphere is inviting and bright and the place is really clean.
