We went there with 2 friends and our family on a sunny day. There was a lake fed by an underground stream with large trouts swimming around. Service was friendly and food was good. We were totally spoiled. View all feedback.
What Frédéric Delmas doesn't like about La Source Bleue:
The location is superb , the staff are delightful and the accommodation was extremely comfortable but surprisingly on this return visit the food was a disappointment. From arrival at our table , nearly 100 mins had passed by the time we had finished our starter.Although the 'amuse bouche " were all delicious , the coquille starter was quite tasteless and the foie gras soup was a most unsuccessful combination of flavou... We had so looked forward to our stay here as we had visited several times before. However nothing stays the same and this place has ever so subtlety changed. Our room on the first floor with balcony overlooking the “source” was fine even if it smelt a little of dog. The lady owner was friendly and welcoming. But dinner let it all down as the fixed price menu at 47 Euros was too expensive for the quality of the meal served in our opinion. Moreover the service was perfunctory and amateurish. We walked out after the cheese course as we’d had enough of the food and the dining experience. What a shame! Here’s hoping it changes again and the wow factor of la Source Bleue returns it’s a very special place on the site of an old paper mill with its lake of vivid blue waters. It deserves better …..
We ate here as we were staying at the hotel. The food is exceptional and well priced. The owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming.
Decided to leave our ski resort early to avoid the risk of not getting out with a huge overnight fall expected and selected La Source almost randomly. The property is set within 5 Ha including woodland and a lake. We stayed in a well provisioned, comfortable room in a newer building. Following a pre-Dinner drink in an unusual bar, we had an excellent meal for a bargain €47 with each dish being well presented and of high quality. We did not meet Francois as he is the chef but Nathalie was an excellent hostess. Although it rained throughout, we have no doubt that we shall return.
I booked an overnight stay at this hotel to celebrate my wife.s birthday and it certainly did not disappoint! The room was well appointed and decorated with a fantastic large Italian shower , the bed was very comfortable. The service levels was exceptional and the restaurant serves traditional french cooking which was absolutely fantastic! The breakfast buffet was equally of the highest quality! We will be certainly returning ?
We stayed there on our way back from our holidays. The hotel is built on the site of an old paper mill next to a pond which was shrouded in mist when we got up in my the morning The bar area therefore is vast and with a high ceiling. We stayed in a suite in the modern part of the hotel. A pleasant well appointed room with eclectic furniture and a roomy terrace looking out onto the main building and the pond. The welcome was charming as was the stay as a whole. We had a glass of champagne to start off the evening. The dining room is plush and the meal a 4 course menu was excellent . Breakfast was served in the room with a basket left by our door. I would have given the place 5 stars but for the breakfast which was not up to the standard of the meal we had enjoyed the previous evening and was served on a cardboard plate. Well worth a stopover and regular visitors love the site for its beauty, quietness and the potential it offers for biking along the many waterways.
