You will love this and most open front store bakeries. Fresh breads, sweet bread, long «french bread» like treats abound. Sweets filled with cheese and berries or guayaba fruit are delicious. If looking for cream cakes or three milks (tres leches) most times you order those due to the heat and humidity they don't fare well, unless you find a bakery with refrigerated counters.
