This homely and cheerful cafe has to be the foodie gem of Guatape! From homemade quiches (I had the goats cheese and it was mind blowing) to baba ganoush and fabulous homemade bread as well as soups and salads.. It's nothing short of a drool-worthy relief from yet another colombian menu del dia . The owner (a seriously passionate and lovely Brit) really cares about the food she serves up and everything is so adorable... View all feedback.
What Kenneth Gamwera doesn't like about Hecho Con Amor Deli:
We went there becuase of a reputationbut we have been extreme disapointment! Not really an atmosphere with that plasic tables and chairs. All is made fresh but: we took a quiche and a wrap with salad and soup. The soup was nice but also a bit tasteless i missed flavour. The wrap was also a bit tasteless, the quiche was nice but a small ridicious tiny portion with two salads, one green and one tomato cheese salads. Th... View all feedback.
Hecho con amor was just what I needed following two weeks of big, meaty, heavy Colombian food portions. Something lighter, relatively healthy but still enough to keep you full. I came here for lunch on my first day in Guatape and loved it so much that I came back for breakfast the following day. Both yummy meals Service was friendly and attentive.
Such great food! We were in Guatape for a few days and ate here for most of our meals. Great breakfast, great lunch and great desserts! The bread used for sandwiches is absolutely amazing. The service is great too. The owner is so nice and helpful. The cheesecake is so great as well!!!!
This morning I came here for breakfast and had a nice avocado toast with egg. Yummie! In the afternoon I decided to come back and try their lentil burger. Wow! That one was amazing! After a really nice conversation with the woman from the restaurant (also about me looking for the best way get to the airport) I received a message if I needed a transport to the airport. Considering the ammount of luggage I am carrying with me this was perfect! Would recommend this place anytime! And for sure.. try out their lentil burger. You won't regret it!

I was in Guatape for two weeks and ate here at least half a dozen times. It's a no-brainer. The food tastes great, is affordable, healthy, and unique. Service is excellent. I loved that they have different soups and salads of the day. Hard to get bored. They have rotating desserts as well, so snap them up before they disappear. My only suggestion, and it's a minor one--more salt. I usually had to add salt to bring out the full array of flavors, especially in the soup. But since they have salt grinders on the table, it's no big deal.
