What User doesn't like about Las Cazuelas:
A bit difficult to get there, because the restaurant is on the highway outside the city of Tlaxcala. However, once there, it is a nice and quiet setting, and the food is good, with dishes from the regional cuisine, such as mixiote, which is nicely served in a crock pot and tastes deliciously. Watch as Mexican women actually make the food you order. Good fare and an interesting ambience. You seldom are afforded the opportunity to see the preparation of food and it sorta increases the appetite and desire to savor what you see.
This is a restaurant with delicious food, but with lousy service. I had come previously to this establishment on a weekend, but I had not realized how terrible the service is. Maybe because on weekends there are enough waiters for all the people coming in...and they have available all the dishes on the menu; but during the week, there are only a couple of waiters and the kitchen doesn't seem to have enough ingredients for all the dishes they advertise in their menu. I came with my family for a celebration, and from the menu they barely had of the dishes available. Pros: The food is very good, they present a selection of typical food from Tlaxcala. The beverage selection is traditional. They have an extensive playground area where children and pets can play. The atmosphere is family friendly and quite casual. It has ample parking. Cons: During the week the menu offer is very limited, as they don't have all the ingredients for all the dishes they offer. The waiter service is friendly, but very reduced. Suggestions: Go on a weekend so you won't be disappointed.
