Quick service, hot local coffee (average) and a quick breakfast plate, I had the ham omelette which came with eggs and some beans. The food was fast, hot and hearty. View all feedback.
What Tudosia Soare doesn't like about Cafe Madoka:
the service is good and the atmosphere is certainly authentic and popular among native, but eating was so and even bad and I tried in many times in a month here. I finally gave it up. View all feedback.
All five of us enjoyed our meals. They were delicious and inexpensive. Our waitress was extremely attentive. The desserts and coffee drinks were amazing. The decor is very basic but clean. I would definitely go back.
Their famous dish is Chilaquiles Gratinados, 65 peso for a plate. Of course you can add extra eggs, avocados, chicken etc but that will be extra charges. If you like the Mornay Baked Rice in Hong Kong then you will definitely like Gratinados because...it tastes exactly the same except that the mexicans use nachos instead of rice. Please take note that food serves in this restaurant is a little more pricey than street tacos and they also add tax and service charge to your final bill. We didnt give them any tips cos we werent sure whether we have to or not and also we are not Spanish speakers. There is no one who can speak English in this joint so be prepared to point at pictures on the menu or show them a picture on your smart phone. But all in all the waitresses are very helpful and attentive towards us, they knew that we couldnt speak spanish so they tried very hard to help us. They also give you free bread when you arrive but they will charge you for that in your final bill. Overall i think the service is good but will not highly recommend my friends to go. I will recommend it if we ran out of ideas where to have dinner. Also take note this restaurants serves almost like an American diner, they have everything on the menu from bacon and egg toast etc to tacos. Good atmosphere and we actually saw a bunch of oldies mexicans playing card game when we were there.
