We stopped on the way to a ballgame last Fall. We had the best chicken fried steaks we had ever eaten, and we have eaten lots of chicken fries! We finally had a chance to come back and could hardly wait. After driving 80 miles just for lunch, we had the worst chicken fry ever. It as thin, over-cooked, and crisp as a potato chip. The gravy was great, loved the salad bar, and the bread, but I doubt we will be back. View all feedback.
First time dining here and it was really good!!! We definitely will be back!!!
I post this as I visited this restaurant often 30 years ago simply because they made the best donuts or cinnamon rolls I've ever, repeat, ever ate.
Food was excellent but the only time waitress came was to take order and bring food. No refills on iced tea.
Service was a tad slow but they were very busy. Small chicken fried steak with mash potatoes and green beans was very good. Chicken fried steak sandwich and French fries was also quite good. Cole slaw was unusual, I think they used apple cider vinegar in it. Peanut butter pie is spectacular. Strawberry pie was very good.
Stopped by to check this place out! Bought gift certificate and cinnamon rolls! Will return soon for fried chiken! Amy was very sweet. She was the cashier.
