First time here, and it was a really good experience. The traditional regional dishes are delicious and more so the service was great. Our server explained things well and was helpful in taking questions. The flavors are great, I highly recommend the wood ear appetizer and the shredded pork, and the whole fish in black bean sauce if you like spicy food. Will return to try the dry pot dishes. What yy Z doesn't like about Empire Dynasty:
I am a loyal customer of this place. Today I invited my neighbors to have lunch with me. Food was good but one of waitresses was mean and yelled at me when I was looking for a waitress to refill water. View all feedback.
My wife and I moved here from the Bay Area, we were very spoiled by the Chinese choices there. In Michigan we have yet to find a spot that hits that craving. Well, here it is. Best Chinese I’ve had in 7 years of living in Michigan, legitimately some of the best Chinese I’ve ever had.
Food is very good. Lunch specials for $8.95 including a nice size bowl of soup. Egg roll only 50 cents more. Portions sizes good too. Authentic menu available.
Food was not at all flavorful. We mentioned to make food spicy they didn’t even care about it, as it was not at all spicy. And the spring-rolls were greasy and taste really bad.
It pains me to give this review this has been my go to spot for years. My last 3 orders were bad rice either undercooked (hard) or today overcooked mush. My egg roll was so hard I almost lost a tooth biting into it. I usually do carryout. One thing seemed to be missing here lately. Sad part was these were the add-ons and I was charged but didn't receive. Today's order was doordash the last time I went to pick it up. My food was on the shelf and I had to wait 20 minutes to get it. Because they were in the dining area servicing other customers. I had order the Shrimp Foo Young and typically the gravy was so flavorful you could eat like a soup. Bland! The Egg Food Young patties were charred. One other time I ordered the orange chicken. What puzzled me was that the dough on the chicken was soggy and yet they gave very little sauce. They are welcoming but something has changed. Maybe the cook has changed or perhaps lack of help. I threw the food away. Still hungry and out of $25+. I guess this is where we part ways. I tried but just can't do it anymore. I've changed the name to Empire Die-Nasty.
Good food and service Parking: The driveway is steep from the road.
