The terrace is full of charm with its pretty vineyard that dresses the pergola. The interior in Provence colours is just as warm. The decoration, neat but not pretentious, rustic and contemporary blend with its exposed beams and other natural details. You are in the right place to taste seafood: stuffed cornets and ravigot sauce mussels were excellent. I don’t think I ate so fresh and fleshy. I had some apprehension about white wine in carafe. No regret, La Clape's wine made its effect. Everything was chained with fluidity. The service was perfectly orchestrated, without waiting between the dishes. From the entrance to the dessert, cooking and quantities were controlled. Everything was fresh, melting and homemade. Prices are more than reasonable given the quality of products, the efficiency of service and the poetry of the place. This former fishermen’s village has unsuspected discoveries and L’Estagnol is one of them. The surprise of a discreet address like this is enough to convince you to never venture on the port again.

The fish cha... read more Restaurant located with a direct view of the Gruissan pond. A historic site in the old town, authentic and having managed to keep the dishes fresh. The fish changes according to the catch of the day and the season (and yes, there are seasons for fishing too! . Fresh products, well prepared and a sufficient menu. A far cry from the soulless and flavorless restaurants too numerous in the surrounding area.
