What Jessica Lim dislikes about Doc Burnstein's Creamery Tour:
This facility is closed and the tours are not happening anymore. The worker there told us production is no longer taking place here. But you can drive 5 min away to the shop and pick up the ice cream View all feedback.

We loved it here, but the last three visits were not so great! They put my son cone on the dirty counter and I had to ask for a new one. they sued me and then sued me wrong for a cake. the last visit I told that they did not take the gift card style I have and it was bought at the end of november. the person who took payments did this and then shook touching cone with wash out their hands or gloves! big!

For the low fee it was a blow learning about the history of the company as they make their ice cream, and more. everyone there seems to really enjoy what they do.

This restaurant is great for families and children. Make sure to bring a jacket because it can be quite chilly inside, especially in the blast freezer. The taste test was also a fun experience.

This restaurant serves the best ice cream, especially their vanilla cones dipped in chocolate and rolled in almonds are to die for!

For the low fee, it was a blast learning about the history of the company, how they make their ice cream, and more. Everyone there really seems to enjoy what they do as well.

Doc Burnstein's Ice Cream offers a nostalgic experience with a wide variety of homemade flavors and a family-friendly atmosphere. Housed in a vintage storefront, this charming shop features 20-25 rotating flavors, as well as cones, sundaes, and unique options like Motor Oil chocolate. While previous visits have become inconsistent, with issues ranging from cleanliness to gift card mishaps, the ice cream remains a highlight, consistently winning loyal fans born from fresh, quality ingredients. Despite some operational hiccups, it’s still a delightful stop for ice cream lovers, especially after a day at the beach. Don't forget to taste the signature sugar spoon!.

The best milkshakes on the coast! We always make a point to stop by whenever we are in the area.

I do not recommend ordering a gift card from this restaurant. I placed an order for a gift card 10 days ago and it still has not arrived. My nephew's birthday is tomorrow and because of Doc Burnstein's, I have no gift for him. The shop is only 45 miles away from my family's house and someone could have easily walked the gift card over in 5 days. Despite my family being regular customers at their shops on the central coast, I will not be recommending them to anyone again. I even called the store 4 days ago to follow up, but still no gift card. Very disappointing.

This place is darling a must see. My girls beg to come here everytime we camp at Pismo. It's so quaint the town and the shop. We love the unusual flavors, and the huge train that travels all around the shop. A wonderful family treat.
