Because it is a bit out of the way, it will be less known than the busy Tea House further away. We have certainly not discovered it before during our many years of water sports in Friesland. And that 's a shame, because you can undoubtedly eat delicious and honest food here! The restaurant is not large and the decor is simple, with a wide view of the kitchen. You can also sit outside on the terrace by the water. The staff is friendly and attentive: a detail such as introducing yourself is immediately noticeable in a positive way. Small point of criticism: do not ask the customer in advance which wine he or she would like to drink if you have not yet provided the menu, because the choice of the dish also largely determines the wine you choose. We had the soup of the day, which was a delicious thickened leek soup. As a main course we chose the delicious quay steak resp. the short ribs. Both dishes arrived freshly dressed on the table, with the edible flowers providing an original accent. The other accessories such as bacon, garlic, creams and sweet potato formed a neat whole with the meat. Both the steak and ribs were of excellent quality! Two delicious and original desserts (baked sugar bread with cinnamon and sabayon with fresh red fruit) completed a successful dinner! It is good to know that most dishes can also be ordered in smaller portions, which is nice for not so big eaters or if you want to try or combine several dishes. I can definitely recommend this restaurant!
