We've been two other times. It's a good place if you're enjoying the company of others and can be distracted from things that aren't quite up to par. Food is okay but really not fabulous. Fried calamari looked beautiful but wasn't really great and way too many hot peppers. Gnocchi was very good. Our room was too warm and loud. The server was very nice. We went for our anniversary. They had my pre requested prosecco on the table upon our arrival. My husband and guests were thrilled. The food was outstanding, perfectly seasoned, high quality. Great atmosphere, good service.
The Forge and Vine team consistently delivers an excellent experience. If you're searching for delicious food in a friendly atmosphere, you need look no further.
A truly charming evening at this Groton destination, our first visit. Server was attentive and engaging. Dishes were very creative and all loved them. Excellent cocktails. Great vibe.
We had reservations for 6:30p but the restaurant already ran out of one menu item the scallops. Very disappointing in that 3 people in our party were going to get the scallops. Instead, my husband and I got the sea bass dish for two people. The fish was small, the vegetables were ordinary. It was billed on the menu as a dish for two people, but the portion was small and the dish was expensive. I would NOT recommend it. Not sure if we will return any time soon to Forge and Vine.
