very good food and a lot of choice! When you come around the lunchtime, you can eat for 10 euro, but with less choice than in the evening where you pay so much. when they sit on the buffet, it's loud, but it's great to stay at the edge! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Oriental Gourmet:
few had eaten so bad, many had gone out and was not refilled early. meat was tough and often burned! no meat taste, except a predominant salt taste. wok was hard to find, eating is grilled on a dish, including sweet and accessories, which gives the whole a very dry taste. it was very hot, you don't have to sweat. bah! not to mention the crowd they have seen, they do not think they were also on my food to be prepared.... The situation is the only good thing this place has. The food is tame and blossom. The staff was rude.
This place service sucks so hard! We came to celebrate my daughters birthday. The bold guy who definitely hate his job comes and counts us two times. Im very clear from beginning that I’m not gonna eat ore drink anything. (I was not hungry, and the food didn’t look so tasty also) When we go to pay, the Chinese women at the service desk want to take full price for me. My pregnant wife try to explain to her but of course she only speak Chinese. When I go to bring the bold guy to explain to her he also only speaks German. So we give up and she gets what she wrongly want! Normally I would give the money she stole from us as tips. This is definitely my last visit here and can not recommend this restaurant to any one.
We were there for dinner after being recommended as 'exellent'. We were (a little) disappointed: almost all foods are already prepared and available in 'buffet-style'. Most employees seem to be Eastern European, not what you expect from an Asian restaurant. If you want to prepare your food on the (tepayaki) hotplate, you would expect it to be made by an Asian person, here it was done by a tattooed (east European) person, you're not expected that it will be done, the prepared food will be on your table whre the dish does not see very 'atractive'. Most dishes on the buffet look very good, but were rather salty (to our taste), most dishes were deep roasted. At the time we were there, there were more employees than customers, employees also drink and eat from the buffet. The (included) price is low, the restaurant fits the price level.
As a foreigner, I visited this restaurant on a tourist trip. Let me remind you of the sequence of events that work at the end of the buffet: T. T 90 ': we arrived in the restaurant without reservation. We had to wait near the reception. T 75: We got a table and asked for instructions as it was our first time in this place. The waiter didn't explain the buffet. T 30 : The buffet started to be empty. Empty shelves appeared. T 20: in the line for the coffee machine. This is a large space and has only 1 coffee machine. The way it has to grind as a large selection and beans. In other words, slowly! T 5 : still in line and asked to go to me and go, I guess? Not all employees speak English or even German. Well, I was under the impression that the buffet was closed at T, but I could finish my cup of coffee a bit after T. When I said I waited so long, an employee said: 'Not my problem'. T 5: got my coffee, but the staff was not happy with my table. T 10: I paid the bill and my family went to the bathroom. We were the only guests in the restaurant. Classes: The end time of the buffet is the time you need to be OUTSIDE. Row for the coffee machine is incredibly long and slow. Not so many vegetarian options. Most dishes have plenty of vegetables, but contain meat. A bit of communication difficulties with the staff. Do not expect the American (or Southeast Asian) level of hospitality. Not even a smile, welcome or farewell. Food is fine when you arrive early (in case of participation in the buffet). They offer tablets for children! Such a nice gesture.
