We were rudely... read more Unfortunately we were unlucky with the service. Outside the snow and icy wind was coming horizontally and so we wanted to drink some mulled wine. We were rudely seated at a table at the entrance. The outer door was held open with a wedge and there was a terrible draft. Even the curtain on the door moved. When I asked politely whether the door could be closed, the young lady with a Polish accent responded with incomprehension. It was so cold that I insisted on a solution... a new place, a closed door or we would leave. Again, we were rudely allowed to go to another table and were not looked at. Luckily another waitress came who was friendly. Does the lady realize who ultimately pays her wages? We won't be coming back.

Special requests were happily accom... read more Update May 2025: The Klabautermann is still highly recommended! We were there with nine people, and we all enjoyed our meal. Special requests were happily accommodated, and the service was friendly and prompt. We weren't disappointed this time either, and we'd love to come back! May 2023: Whenever we're in Grömitz, a meal at the Klabautermann is always a must. We've never been disappointed. The service is great and the food is amazing. The value for money is excellent. We can therefore highly recommend the restaurant. Reservations recommended. Keep up the good work, and see you next time
