I entered into this restaurant... read more I was in Grinzane last weekend, during a bad weather day so, after the castle visit I decided to top myself for eating something. I entered into this restaurant just for a sandwiches but after I read the manu I changed my idea. Battuta di fassona with green cream....delicious!!! Rosted pepperons with cheese&hazelnut cream , good. for the fisrt time I tasted a Bonnet, tipical Pindemont dessert....why I didn't eat it before??? Really good. Nice staff, location not so warm but nice as well.

There is a no frills dining room upstairs or you can eat at one of the tables in the bar on the ground floor. I had a good Milanese veal escalope with spinach and asparagus for €7 and on another occasion I had the set lunch for €12 which buys you of a choice of antipasti, one of the two dishes of the day, water and coffee. All pretty tasty without being anything to write home about. Good, well priced, wine list with a few available by the glass from €3 upwards.

We had raw veal with black truffles it was delicious..... Then we had our white truffles pasta and egg YUMMY!!! This is a great place with great food, service and prices.

We gave all coins we had, which amounted to much more, expecting her to take... read more This morning we got a couple of coffees at La Salinera and were asked to pay 2.40€. We gave all coins we had, which amounted to much more, expecting her to take 2.40€ and return the rest. However, the bartender pretended the amount was exactly 2.40€ and took it all. When I asked to return the money in excess, she pretended she had made a mistake, while in fact she intentionally tried to take advantage of us. I don’t care about such small amount of money, just wanted to highlight the unfair treatment we received. Will never come again.
