I could not be impressed by the hospitality of rodolfo and his family and the experience as a whole. apart from the execution of the annoying make rodolfo and his family wine...and olive oil, color, sculptor and chef. we enjoyed a tour through the cellar, incredible weine and absolutely fantastic homemade foods (the dishes just came to the beautiful Tuscan hills again and again. rodolfo was very friendly, generous and helpful throughout. the perfect opportunity to fall in love with the toskana.

Their hospitality matched the fabulous a... read more We had the absolute pleasure of staying at the fabulous villa of Rudolfo Guarnieri and Stefania Nin, Torre Alberghieri. Their hospitality matched the fabulous and timeless wonder of their fantastic villa. A substantial and palatial home adorned with Rudolfo's fresco paintings. Great windows protected from...the hot summer sun by original wooden shutters. Just about everything is original with many ceilings decorated still by original frescos and probably the billiard table too! Cooking was a pleasure in the well equipped kitchen with wonderful fresh local produce. The recently installed spa swimmer and decking were a great place to grab some rays and refresh yourself from the scorching sun. Although there were only four of us we had the run of the whole villa and the fabulous tower, but this place would be great for much larger families and big groups of friends. Using all available rooms and the other smaller villa on the vineyard you can readily accommodate and serve 25 people. We were very fortunate to enjoy a meal with Rudolfo, Stefania and their two children Raphael and Vivienne one evening and was given an expert wine tasting by Rudolfo. We are looking forward to our case of wine arriving in the UK when we return to the UK after out Italian grand tour. I can really visit all those who visit the toskana for wein to visit this place and only learn about its idea of wein. they will know why the wine tastes like it and what the idea behind it is. there are many rules for the production of the real chianti. the real business is the art. they find art everywhere in the house. the wine is the family tradition. thanks!

We set up a tour through Italy and Wine, met our fantastic tour... read more My friend and I were on a girls trip in Rome and Florence, and wanted to do a wine tasting day. We set up a tour through Italy and Wine, met our fantastic tour guide Matteo...and we were off! Our first stop was Chianti and...Art, where we had the honor of meeting Rudolfo. I must mention that Rudolfo and his brother are not only wine makers, but are artists...and their sprawling home (complete with private rooms for rent and a tower! is a work of art! Rudolfo took his time showing us his wine making facilities, and explaining everything. He even showed us some very special bottles of wine that are only made in Chianti Classico. After seeing his facilities, he took us through his amazing home filled with he and his brother's art! I have already picked out my room for my visit with my husband in the next month or so (so excited, and Rudolfo will even do a painting class or cooking demonstration). Okay, now comes the tasting! We sat at his fantastic antique wood kitchen table that was filled with his own homemade olive oil, cheeses, meats, breads, home made polenta (he is an amazing chef), and chocolate! We tasted 6 wines with our guide, Matteo, who is a fantastic sommelier and a great teacher! My friend and I felt that we have known both Matteo and Rudolfo forever! Rudolfo's wines are very reasonably prices considering he only makes about 1000 per year...and he hand paints some of the wine bottles! I can't recommend Chianti and Art enough. This is an upclose and personal look into the Chianti Classico wine making from a small wine maker who is as passionate about his wine as he is his art. I am am American living in Europe for a few years and have been blessed with the opportunity to travel frequently, and I have already begun planning my return trip to Chainti and Art. I intend on staying in either a private room or the villa with my husband, taking an art/painting class (why not! enjoying Rudolfo's amazing food, and exploring Chianti Classico and Tuscany more! This had been one of the best traveling experiences ever, and I can't wait to share it with my husband!
