Ambience is good (interior seating), staff is very friendly and service is good. I went there for lunch on a weekend, it was not very crowded though, but food was of decent and cocktails were of okay quality.

Lost on a rainy night, a nun stumbles across a monastery and requests shelter there. Fortunately, she 's just in time for dinner and was treated to the best fish and chips she 's ever had. After dinner, she goes into the kitchen to thank the chefs. She is met by two brothers, Hello, I 'm Brother Michael, and this is Brother Charles. I 'm very pleased to meet you. I just wanted to thank you for a wonderful dinner. The fish and chips were the best I 've ever tasted. Out of curiosity, who cooked what? Brother Charles replied, Well, I 'm the fish friar. She turns the other brother and says, Then you must be...? Yes, I 'm the chip monk.

They first brought the pasta, after a while the drinks and when we were almost finished, they brought the bread . the sauce bolognese was very salty and garlic-y. The meat was chewy (how's that possible with minced meat? . Considering the prices of that restaurant, the experience was a little below our expectations...

Located inside the Hotel Majapahit, it is a fairly good dining restaurant with a decent collection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages Ambience is good alt... read more Located inside the Hotel Majapahit, it is a fairly good dining restaurant with a decent collection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages Ambience is good although lighting can be improved upon in some areas at night. Staff are courteous and friendly and service is good. The only drawback is that English is poorly understood but this is almost the same all over Indonesia. You have to make sure that the waiter understands your order if you don't want to be served a wrong dish. We ate breakfast and dinner there. Patronage seemed low which may be due to its closeness to Tunjungan Plaza which has a lot of eateries. Indonesian cuisines seem to be better prepared than continental dishes. The chef took time to walk round to offer some tips about the dishes during breakfast.

The signature Cappuccino Mushroom Soup is also unique. Waiters are so friendly. Definitely for fine food with historical scenes round.

One of the best hotels in SEA. Together with all the history, a truly marvelous place and not one to be missed. Ronny was very friendly and knowledgeable and the Sambal superb. We will be back.
