Hippopotamus is one of those places where the food is great but the service is mediocre. I visited this branch several times and the service was never consistent and rarely any good. It always took at least half an hour for any waiter to talk to us and help us order even when the restaurant was almost empty. Good twill, firm burger. Finally, I found a waiter who speaks English, because all French speak only a little, nothing bad to say. only positive and beautiful experience. highly recommended.

Great value and the kids just love the whole experience. The food is nice and consistent and well portioned. If you are after fancy this is not the place, but with the kids and a relaxing time with plenty of options it is fantastic. The chocolate mousse is great.
Good service, good food and a hearty chunk of meat. Located on the western side of the square, Google seems to place it on the eastern. This is a chain, the place in Grenoble was better than the one in Marseille.
