Exceptional reception: the boss was ready to close for lack of customers this evening, but she welcomed me with kindness and simplicity. Inside, I took a foie gras with 4 spices, homemade, excellent. Then, a black slurry parmenter with caramelized apples, delicious. to finish, a perfect glazed with the chartreuse, to give a damn in summary: a very good dinner and a beautiful discovery
I've been to this amazing restaurant a few times now and will continue to do so again and again because the prices are more than reasonable, the food is always of exceptional quality and the staff are an absolute pleasure. It's always packed (full of locals) so book if you can or get there early as its a fairly small restaurant. From what I can tell its run by maybe a husband and wife team (the wife is the chef and the husband is the waiter) just a guess. Both are exceptional at what they do and the guy especially goes above and beyond.
I recently moved to the quartier antiquiares in Grenoble even though I've been living in Grenoble for 10 years, I've not really explored this area in terms of restaurants, there are loads of them here and this is one great find ! I've been here twice in the last month or so and each time the service and food was perfect. It's a small place very traditional french style which I love this particular restaurant has been in this space for about 18 months if I understood correctly, before there was another restaurant for 10+ years. The restaurant is located about 10 minutes from place victor hugo, fresh produce is used for the menus and the menus change with the seasons. Another reviewer noted that the tables are well spaced, which I agree with, You're not sitting on top of your neighbor. I love these small intimate tradtional spaces .. please don't change !
