Beautiful building, elegantly furnished, with chilled glass cases of the most tempting pastries and tortes. Good coffee. Friendly service. Order on the bakery side and have it delivered to a table on the square or inside. A great place for a break after walking miles on cobble stones.

I would not attempt to write this in German, but would wholeheartedly agree with Annafrieda that the location, friendly service and wonderful baked goods made this a welcome stop after a morning visiting the sights of Greifswald. I'm not sure whether they could have spoken English, but since we spoke German and were visiting with German friends, translation was not necessary.
