I visited for the first time on 1/4/24 around lunchtime. I had the fish and decided to get a turkey salad for my dinner since I work nights. The fish was great. My salad was fixed around 1 p.m. and when I ate at 8 p.m., it was so fresh. The salad was one of the best I've had, and the turkey was delicious. I will definitely be a repeat customer!! What Cassandra Gibson doesn't like about Downtown Subs And Wings:
We ordered our food based off the prices from the menu online… when we went to pick up our order the prices were drastically higher!! $13 dollars for 3 pieces of fish and $9 dollars for a bowl of salad!! Ridiculous!! The food was good though but I will not return because of the pricing…Parking: It was limited parking in front of the establishment but a few feet away is an open lot for parking… not too inconvenient. If you're looking for great, quality food then this is the place to visit. This is a family owned establishment that has bought something different to this town. I have not been disappointed in any of the food I have received. It's made when you order so you're always going to receive hot food that is not only good but filling. I recommend visit restaurant and give them a try.
Excellent hidden gem in downtown Greenwood! The most difficult part of the visit was deciding what to order, as everything on the menu sounded delicious. I went with the signature MaeMae Cheeseburger, named for the family matriarch and made using her personal recipe. You can taste the love! Even their fries and ketchup, a most basic staple, were extraordinary.
This place is located in a section of downtown Greenwood that is, frankly, run-down and full of empty storefronts and decrepit buildings. It is two blocks from the Crystal Grille, a somewhat upscale restaurant that has been in business for 90 years or so. I like to try different, hidden gems and this truly is one. It is owned by a husband and wife, the staff has been super friendly and accommodating both times I have been in. The restaurant is clean and the focus is on subs and wings but they also have other items. Wings are not cooked until you order them so they come out still steaming! The sub line is arranged like Subway but I have gotten wings the two times I've been there, so I cannot comment on the subs. My friend ordered a club sandwich and said it was also very good.. The wings are plump and moist, unlike some places I've tried. Don't be put off by the location, Downtown Subs and Wings is a must try if you are in Greenwood.
This place is bussin. Everyone was friendly, the service was quick, and the food was amazing.
