What jw1983 doesn't like about Gourmet Burger Kitchen:
Visited a GBK for the first time and was a little underwhelmed. Firstly, £8 for just a beef burger on its own is rather expensive. Although it was good quality and cooked how you wanted it. Sadly my fries were cold when they came out so I needed to ask for replacements (which was resolved quickly) The Lemon fresh and fizzy drink was very nice and free refills too. The other big let down was the toilets. They always s... View all feedback.

We decided to dine at GBK before heading to a concert at the O2. Since it was a Saturday night, the restaurant was quite crowded, but we were willing to wait in line as other nearby restaurants were also busy. Once we were seated, we placed our order promptly and the food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Unfortunately, the burgers and sweet potato fries were cold, and we received the wrong side dish and sauce. We informed a staff member about the mistake, and it was corrected. While GBK has the potential to be better, we may consider giving it another try in the future. We felt it was important to share our experience in hopes of helping improve the service in the future.
Great burger, fast and attentive staff, Srinivas was very helpful and talked us through the menu, made us feel very welcome.
This branch stole money out of my bank account and although initially promising to return it, they didn't. Now I'm having to go through the hassle of getting it back via my bank. If that doesn't work, next stop, I'll report the theft to the police.
Service was non existent. We had to go to the counter to order our food, the food and drink was delivered to the table and the coffee was cold and the fries had been placed on the wrong plates, forcing us to shuffle the food between us. One star for service. One star for the Atmosphere, we were the only people on the restaurant yet still had to wait to be seated by the waitress. I guess that this was one of her few opportunities to earn a tip. There was nowhere to hang our outdoor wear such as coats, jackets and hats. In a word, the place was grim. Food would have been okay if it were served hot and to the correct customers. I had the beef pate which was small and lukewarm. The pate is served with fried onion ring on top. The onion ring consists of at least 60% batter and is added to the pate to increase the height by 2cm. This may help increase profits in the short term but Gourmet Burger Kitchen will lose return trade. There are no winners here, not the customer, or the staff or indeed the company as a whole.
