Pork cheeks, scallops, mussels, and chicken with pork belly cheeky over the most amazing greens! All followed by Halibut with Crab and pesto gazpacho, Korean chicken, and tuna with pork belly. This is my second visit and both times I con comfortably say everything is good here. The dishes are often inventive, and even their misses are quite tasty to this foodie. View all feedback.
The food and service at this restaurant were fantastic! We want to extend a special thank you to our server Mel for her excellent recommendations and outstanding service. The bar manager Mike was also great, and our drinks were top-notch. Overall, we had a truly enjoyable dining experience and highly recommend this restaurant!
Although I no longer drink, I still enjoy sitting at the bar. The cocktails they craft are not only visually appealing, but also exquisite in taste. The service is impeccable, with bartenders who are skilled, courteous, and knowledgeable. The food was outstanding, and the presentation was exceptional. I will definitely be returning soon.
The only downside was the atmosphere, as we were seated on the deck next to a taproom hosting a lively party. If you're sensitive to noise, it would be better to sit inside. However, this may not always be an issue and shouldn't be a dealbreaker. Our server, Luis, was excellent - keeping our water cups full and timing our food perfectly. He even surprised us with a bonus dessert since we were celebrating a special occasion.
I was pleasantly surprised by the vegan options at urban wren. The menu had multiple plant-based choices, although they were not specifically labeled. However, the server was knowledgeable about each option and able to suggest adaptations. I had a variety of choices from the small plates and shareables sections, as well as multiple main course options to choose from. Unfortunately, the only dessert available was a tamarind sorbet that I found too cold to try. The menu changes regularly, and it seems they had originally planned another vegan dessert option that didn't work out. The server mentioned they had to add gelatine to a dessert that was meant to be vegan. Hopefully, they will add more vegan-friendly options to their menu in the future. In addition to the vegan dishes, there were also several vegetarian options, which my partner enjoyed. I will include photos of those dishes as well.
This place is amazing.Chef Taylor Montgomery is amazing. He makes a tomato sandwich, just basic tomato, bread, and dukes maynoise, and turns it into a work of artThis is the second restaurant I've ever been to that has Brussel sprouts on the menu. But what Taylor does to Brussel sprouts is amazingNot to mention, top of the line bar and serviceTheir cocktails are consistent, and a great spin on traditional cocktails. The waitstaff always smiles. You can tell they are proud, and want to be thereManagement is spot on amazing as wellWe asked the manager if we could speak to Mr Montgomery. Chef was really busy. We were leaving, walking across the street, the manager and Mr Montgomery chased us down to speak to us.I can't say enough good about urban wren.Everyone needs this experience in their life.Amazing
