What Michelle M doesn't like about Tommy's Country Ham House:
My niece treated me to breakfast before our family reunion. It was my first time dining at Tommy's Country Ham House. You seat yourself upon arrival and find the menus already on the table. I ordered two pancakes and two slices of bacon. Unfortunately, the bacon was chewy instead of crispy and the pancakes would have been better if the syrup was less sweet. The syrup was overly sugary. Despite this, it's a pleasant s... View all feedback.

They are closing next month (May 2021). My experiences here have been great. The food is always as ordered, fresh, and served with a smile. I'm going to miss this place.
I hadn 't been here in years but went today for breakfast with some neighbors and enjoyed it. Of course, grits, bacon, toast and a fried egg are pretty standard fare. I prefer my fried eggs OVER WELL. And I always stress REALLY WELL incinerated make it like a Frisbee. I got my overwell this morning and MAN! It was the tenderest overwell I 've ever had and I used to be the home economist for the SC egg board! Excellent job by the line cook. Our waitress was excellent, fun, personable and she pretty much provided a never ending cup of coffee. My cup never emptied because she was so diligent in making sure we were well cared for. Plenty of good food and coffee for under $10. I think I 'll go back soon! Oh and a spacious, on site parking lot as well.
I recently discovered this amazing restaurant that has been around for 35 years and offers great southern food that focuses on families. The breakfasts are big, reasonably priced, and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend trying the sweet potato pancakes, they were light, sweet, and delicious. The bottomless coffee was also great. The restaurant has plenty of parking and seating, although it's best to come early on weekends to avoid a wait. Overall, a fantastic hidden gem that I will definitely be returning to.
Tommy is a very nice man who visits every table and thanks everyone for coming to his restaurant. I had lunch there. It was a business lunch for us to review several documents. They made a special arrangement for our table to provide extra room. The food is cafeteria style with a wide choice of entree's and sides. I had the turkey and dressing with collards, cornbread, fried okra. It was all very good. The cornbread is on the sweet side, which is not my favorite way of preparation, but still good. The service was attentive and quick. The restaurant was perfect for low noise levels. We decided our monthly meeting needs to be here from now on. I understand breakfast is their specialty, so I will have to visit and try breakfast soon.
