What Ledezma doesn't like about The Juicy Crab Winterville:
First time here, we order fried basket fish and shrimp. I got two thin slices of fish and 4 medium shrimp with a lot of cajun fries. The food lack of flavor, it was hot but nothing special, kinda of small portion. The restaurant is clean and service was good View all feedback.

My husband ordered a dozen raw oysters. They definitely were not fresh, or anywhere near it. You could tell by the smell as soon as they set them on the table. Hubby also said they didn 't taste very good. I ordered calamari, and it had no taste, and was tougher than the worst calamari I 'd ever had to that point. The menu said our combo came with three potatoes and corn. I get the one short ear of corn, but we only got one little small red potato. The crab legs and shrimp were actually cooked to perfection. It would have been nice to have everything put on the plate and be then brought to us, but we actually got bags that everything was cooked in sat on the plate and brought to us. On top of it, we didn 't get utensils. When asked they thought they had put them in our bucket (for the shells, etc). Nope, no utensils. They did bring two packets of utensils . These packets included one plastic bib (which I highly appreciated) two handy wipe packets, and one little plastic fork. How do you eat crab legs with a little dinky fragile plastic fork and nothing to crack the shells? Let me tell you! You hope you don 't break your teeth! And all this for an exorbitant cost. I will not return.
Our waitress was sitting at the bar table on her phone throughout our entire visit. We had to get her attention every time we needed something. The few times that she peeled her face away from her phone she was rude you could tell that she just did not want to be working. The sad part is it was 3:30 in the afternoon and we were the only customers in the restaurant. The restaurant was out of absolutely every alcohol except for tequila 1800. They were out of all draft beers, and only had Bud Light in the bottles for an option. So the waitress let us walk over to the Circle K across the street and bring our own alcohol in.(which I’m pretty sure that’s frowned upon by the health department and the ATF) If it wasn’t for the food we would never go back. I have made a formal complaint to the district manager but I guess he’s too busy to return my email. The final straw was when automatic gratuity was charged to our bills. There was 4 of us sitting there, and the waitress felt the need to give us for separate receipts. We’ve never said that we wanted a separate ticket for each person at the table. She did that on her own.
It took well over 10 minutes before someone came to the table to serve us.We were then told they were out of fanta, straws, crab crackers and cups when we went to order. We attempted to order a different fountain drink but it didn't have carbon. The food was tasty. Calamari was a bit chewy.
