Marcus P's Cafe - Greenville
Marcus P's Cafe
Description
A small-town staple lauded for thoughtfully prepared, flavorful dishes—especially fries, burgers and chowder—Marcus P’s charms with nostalgic decor and reliably excellent takeout. Experiences vary: many praise top-notch food and warm ambiance, while others report long waits, inconsistent or brusque service, occasional refusals to prepare menu items, and cleanliness concerns. Prices lean toward moderate-to-high. If you prioritize quality over speed and don’t mind variability, it’s worth a visit; otherwise temper expectations around service and staffing.

It is so nice to have a small town place where I go regularly, and the food is ALWAYS exceptional! The food is still the best around! It's about quality, not quantity. There is a reason for the wait times. Mark will not sacrifice quality for quantity. Ifyou are not a patient person, perhaps McDonald's is more your speed. It's right down the road.
When I pulled up I seen around 6 rats scurrying around dumpster outside the kitchen door against my better judgment I went in anyways. Was like is anybody going to seat me. Burger was over cooked chicken was like shoe leather and the owner was cooking and all I herd was curse words and screaming very ignorant Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch

Cute little places, super friendly staff Chowder was amazing with huge chunks. Lobster roll was a bit dryer than my liking. Which could just be me not knowing how to order one. Next time, I would probably add mayo. Very flavorful! Service: Takeaway Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Chowder
