Lu-bob's - Greenville

Loved the location right off the highway. Nice to be able to eat a home cooked meal away from home. Right next to McDonald's and across the street from KC and Taco Bell. They're lots were empty. LuBobs was full.

This is an unassuming little spot located back off the main road. They didn't have what I wanted to eat but the fried chicken was an ideal substitute. Meal portions were right sized and priced. Very good place.

Greenville is my hometown. We moved away about 10 years ago. A handful of times a year we make our way back to town and when we do, I try to find an excuse to eat at Lubobs. We went today and it's not the same place I use to know and love. Prices have gone up. The quality of food has gone down. My wife and I waited nearly an hour for a burger with fries and a horseshoe. We never got a refil on our drinks. The waitress (who has been there since I was a kid) was nice and apologized repeatedly for our wait so I will cut her some slack but overall this joint has gone downhill and I don't think we will be making any special trips back. Sad.

We ordered the breakfast skillet, it was cool, bland and the gravy tasted liked canned. Also got the breaded tenderloin it was undercooked and soggy. Took 40 minutes to get food. Once we received our food we were never checked on again. Will definitely not come back

Stayed at the Super 8 next door, got up and went for Lunch at this restaurant. I'm not from there, and I felt very uncomfortable. The waiter was nice, but slow and when our food was ready, we waited about 10 minutes after till she brought our food. The only thing that was hot was the sausage that came with the Skillet I ordered. My sister said that the Biscuits and Gravy she ordered were absolutely disgusting! She said the Gravy tasted like Hot Water! This food was very bland. The ice tea I got had more flavor!! Will definitely never ever be going back! Honestly wished we went to McDonald's...
