I love this place! I always get the habachi jumbo shrimp entree with fried rice. I request that half of the rice be substituted with vegetables, and I only get broccoli and mushrooms as my vegetables.....They make my food exactly as I request it every time. View all feedback.
What Deborah Payne doesn't like about Hibachi Japan Firetower:
Mediocre at best. I had spicy salmon roll and bonsai roll. Very small portions of fish, wasabi was all dried out, pickled ginger was dried up too. I’ve had better sushi from Harris Teeter. Food served in take out containers even tho we dined in. Husband had chicken hibachi- chicken was dry, veggies overcooked to a mush.We would not recommend. View all feedback.
Restaurant is very co-ordinated in their ordering process and serving customers. Meal was delicious and filling.Food: 4/5
I've never been to a restaurant where they put the food into the same containers whether you eat in or not. I suppose using to go containers so you don't have to do it later makes a little sense. Not overwhelmed by the experience. The atmosphere is very nice. Pretty little place, nice and quiet. However, i had to clean off my own table. My gyoza arrived with a full crunch, which is actually how I like it! The fried crab is artificial crab sticks. While the gyoza has a very light flavor, the crabs sticks are pretty flavorless. And worse, they both come with the same soy based sauce which doesn't have a lot of flavor to it either . For the most part, I can't even tell I put the sauce on there. But they do have a brown sauce at their sauce bar, which adds a really nice flavor to the food . Signs all over ask that you limit to two servings of white sauce per dishI thought it must be some overwhelmingly crazy delicious type sauce. It's not. It was actually very similar to a horseradish sauce without the horseradish. Think mayo with a little garlic. All in all, I think they went 100% on the decor and atmosphere but only about 50% on the food. I can think of other places nearby where I'd enjoy it more.
Good Hibachi, quick service, standard sushi. Great prices and close by. Definitely a repeat.
