The bbq pork was great moist and very little fat. Collards, squash casserole, mac and cheeae, lima beans all very good. Unsweet tea was sour though and the menu board is very hard to read and basically a mess.It is inside a convenience store with a door that slams so loud you'd think somebody was shooting. What Michael Massey doesn't like about Bbq 65:
I wanted to like this place but the bbq was cold the coleslaw tasted like it was from a store, and the mash potatoes tasted like they were from a school cafeteria. View all feedback.
I only get to have a meal here about once a year and I miss it all the time. If you are nearby and have not tried it—oh. You must!
It was phenomenal everything was seasoned right. Their sides were so good along with their barbecue. Their southern sweet tea was amazing! 10/10
I live my life by the rule that if you find a little hole in the wall restaurant running off the side of a gas station in the middle of nowhere, it's going to serve some of the best or some of the worst food you've ever eaten. There are no exceptions. This is some of the best. Do yourself a favor and don't pass on this place if you're passing through.
I would go out of my way for this place. We were driving through and stopped. The food was unbelievable.
That lady there could not be bothered to put the phone down and be cordial. The food was tasteless. Maybe they do better aome other times, but my experience was terrible.
