Being in the restaurant business for many years, I try not to be as critical because I understand what it takes to run a restaurant of the size. When your problems arise, this is when you can shine your best yesterday, your registers crashed as we got ready to pay now we had already eaten there earlier that day with another group, spending about $75 a group of us, checks totaling somewhere around $100. Like I said, this is your time to shine instead you failed miserably. You could’ve offered to dessert while we sat and waited for 41 minutes now I am very well. Could have just walked out and told you I’ll be back pay you later. Your host is not quite friendly nor own duty and if I’m not mistaken, one of the owners were there last night, this is why you lose your business have an exceptional place in your location and you are the only game in town and yet you take advantage of this instead of playing on it and increasing your involvement in the community and with others specially your patrons I can say this restaurant is blessed because there’s no competition around it When that does come I don’t think you’ll last next time. Just tell you people to come back show some trust and good In good hard-working people, you will not have it this easy

This review is based on service and the fact that they illegally charge a fee for using a debit card. It is illegal to charge fir using a debit card. You may only charge when using a credit card. I would suggest stopping this practice before someone decides to take legal actions. Now for the service. We sat our entire meal without our waitress checking on us once and had to flag her down to get our check. She was too busy talking to the cashier about the drama in the restaurant. (Yes we could hear from our table). We should have moved to the other section that was being taken care of by the other waitresses. Now for the food. It was good. Hot and fresh but the food can only go so far. You need more consistency in your service. Please before you respond about the surcharge on the debit card look into the law and research the issue. Thank you.

The experience of food and atmosphere is impeccable but the waitresses don 't know how to keep things to themselves. I was first walking in and one was eating lunch at the tables and they made a crude comment about my appearance and laughed. It was encouraged and she wasn 't once punished for it because of free speech . As a customer i expected more respect than this especially from someone who is serving other guests.

I have been dining at The Big Clock for 18 years and it is the most consistently good restaurant around. The wait staff is always friendly and professional, the food is always top notch, and the owners are the nicest most hard working folks you will ever meet.
