I love this place. The decor is cozy and I love all the vintage thing they have. Our food was SO GOOD (they have the best filled hot peppers), and our server was excellent. We brought my mother there for the first time, and she said she loved it. Her tuna looked very good and my fillet was probably the tenderest fillet I ever had. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Old Route 66 Grille:
During the service was exceptional (Christian our waiter) and the food was quite good I was very disappointed by the portion size for the high prices. 17 dollars for a few chickens and vegetables over a little rice without other side does not seem right. They got a small side salad to start, but the dinner (Singapore Chicken) was more than expensive Chinese takeout. View all feedback.
I often find myself in a unique situation where I visit establishments for work rather than as a regular customer. My choice to dine at a place is usually influenced by how I’m treated by the staff, especially since they don't have to be particularly friendly towards me. Today, I visited this restaurant for work and interacted with the team there. They were incredibly nice, which won me over as a customer. I ordered a burger, and it was delicious! The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, fitting for a bar-style restaurant without being overly fancy. I also had a chance to peek into the kitchen, and it was just as I expected—clean and bustling with activity. I will definitely be back to eat here again. The food was great, but the friendly staff made it even better. Most of my interactions were with a gentleman named Harry, who was fantastic! I highly recommend supporting this local business.
This restaurant is a great option for your everyday lunch or dinner. While it may not be extraordinary, the food is good and reasonably priced. The staff is always friendly too. I would definitely recommend it.
On this evening, my husband ordered his favorite, the jumbo fish sandwich (which is especially popular during Lent), and we also tried the grilled salmon with honey bourbon glaze and the steak sandwich (as shown in the picture). Just a heads up, the restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays, but you can find the full menu online.
This local institution is staffed with patient, helpful, kind and witty folks. The menu offers a great selection including nightly specials. Full bar and it wouldn't be PA if Yuengling wasn't on tap. For years I think this is where the locals have been coming for their meals! Known for their Italian fare, seafood and steaks, they will not disappoint you! Hope to be a customer again next time I am in the area.
My wife picked this place, and it was definitely a great choice. Their restaurant has been around for about 25 years, as Route 66, and they have lots of Route 66 signs, all over, as well as Christmas trees in various areas. We elected to sit next to one! We had the sirloin, with potatoes, and the salmon, with rice. Both of us had salads, and we were impressed with both meals, and salads. The salmon comes with a sweet bourbon glaze, that was really tasty. Our waitress, Brandy, was friendly and helpful, as was the hostess. Also, the owner/manager came by and asked if everything was alright. I always appreciate that. Be mindful of the oncoming traffic, if you park in front of the restaurant, when you back out of the parking lot. Traffic coming off of Route 66 doesn't have to stop, when exiting onto Old Route 66.
