I was initially hesitant to go through with this reservation due to a number of negative reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. Our dinner was fantastic, the service was impeccable, and the ambiance was delightful with jazz playing softly in the background. I ordered the burger and fries along with a deviled egg starter, while my date opted for the simple spaghetti. Everything was well-prepared and we even took a l... View all feedback.

So great- waiter was kind the menu had something for all taste buds! Great for parties also!
Made a reservation for 8pm. Arrived on time and there was no hostess. The one employee was trying to great customers, clear tables, fill up water glasses, etc. Would definitely recommend hiring more staff. We didn't get seated until after 8:30pm, then waited 10 mins and never saw a real waiter. Noticed that people who got seated around 8pm did not have food yet so we left. Very slow service so might want to allot at least 3 hours if you want to eat here. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone and do not plan on returning.
Quick seating, service was not good. Had to constantly ask for refills, 6 out of the 12 people in our group had to send items back to the kitchen. Did not feel like our group was wanted. Will not be back.
I had been to the W back in the spring and had a wonderful seasonal salad on the patio. Service was good and food was good. This time it was quite different. There wern't many people there, yet it still seemed to take a long time to get drinks and food. The apps were ok, nothing to write home about, but the main courses, were not. I had the seasonal salad with beets and butternut squash. The squash was not cooked at all, it was so hard I couldn't eat it. I got 2 half slices of beets which were tasty and the beet dressing was a well. The shrimp I got on top was way over cooked and smelled fishy. My husband ordered the same salad with chicken and he got what looked liked bagged iceberg lettus with just chicken on top. He is the type that will not send anything back no matter if it is wrong or not. They also only had one Pinot Noir to choose from. I will not be going back.
This was our first time dining at The W on Elm. The ambience is very chic and relaxing. Our service was excellent and the kitchen was more than helpful in accommodating a few special request for the meals we selected. There is outdoor seating but obviously weather permitting. With that being said it would be a perfect lunch spot with the menu just as is with limited hours.
