I ordered BBQ for 6 people which included two quarter chickens, hush puppies, and slaw. Despite ordering a container for 6, there was barely enough food for 5. The BBQ was flavorless and lacked any smoke flavor. It was also tough to chew. The chicken was overcooked and dry, like chicken jerky. The hush puppies were overcooked and crunchy. Was not in stamey’s. it was great! although it was right on Friday morning, the service was fast efficient. get our food in a short time it was hot tasty!
Legendary BBQ, quick, yummy yummy in my tummy. Grew up on this establishment and is quintessential to passing through town. Hush puppies are exquisitely delicious and titillates my soul.Wife is unimpressed but she’s not from here.
This is an institution in Greensboro! The BBQ is outstanding and they have too good red slaw. They had a fire a couple years back and did a total renovation. It still has the old school vibe, but it is all new and shiny. They serve collards, the Brunswick stew is fab, and they even have chicken-q if you don't like pork. It is always busy, so be prepared. You don't linger either during rush hour times. You eat, you move. Or you get the stink eye from those that know. Go experience some Greensboro culture.
Best bbq in the world! My absolute favorite place to eat. Amazing food and the best staff anywhere!
I did a drive thru order and ordered sweet bbq sauce.I got home and of course there was no bbq sauce at all.
