My husband and I recently moved to northwest Greensboro and have been checking out some of the restaurants in the neighborhood. The Longhorn Steak House and Saloon was the very best. We had the 4 ounce luncheon steak with steamed veggies and the lettuce wedge salad. Excellent! Got to be the best place to waste money signature blooming onion was small, cold and had oil dripping from it. Bread was cold and almost had ice in. Fries were limp and cold. Steaks were small, undercooked (well done was almost raw, blood poured) and had large fatty bits. Manager said he would send gift tokens, despite not being wanted, took name and address. Guess what nothing came... micky D or B King would be bett... View all feedback.
This has to be the worst place to spend your money. The signature blooming onion was small, cold, and dripping with oil. The bread was also cold, almost freezing. The fries were limp and served cold. The steaks were tiny, undercooked (what was supposed to be well-done was nearly raw, with blood oozing out), and had large chunks of fat. The manager promised to send gift tokens, even though we didn’t want them, and took my name and address. Surprise, surprise—nothing ever arrived. You'd be better off eating at McDonald's or Burger King. Interestingly, my friend had a similar experience with his curbside takeaway. Save your money and donate it to charity instead of wasting it here.
We were promptly seated and received courteous service right from the start. The meal was delicious and cooked to order. The steak was significantly better than what you would find at competing chains with 'Long' or 'Lone' in their names! I appreciated that my iced tea glass was constantly refilled, as that is very important to me. Our waitress was attentive without being pushy, ensuring our party was well taken care of. Among the many diverse dining options, this restaurant remains one of Greensboro's reliable favorites!
My husband and I recently moved to northwest Greensboro and have been exploring the local dining options. The Longhorn Steak House and Saloon was by far our favorite. We tried the 4-ounce luncheon steak with steamed vegetables and the lettuce wedge salad, and it was excellent! The steak was cooked perfectly to our preference—juicy and tender. The vegetables were cooked just right, not soggy or overdone. The lettuce wedge salad was a delightful surprise and absolutely delicious! Plus, the prices were as impressive as the food.
