There is a TON of restorers on this street in Greensboro, so you need to do something special to be great. Staff are very friendly and polite, unexpected for an Italian market, sandwiches are loaded with meat and cheese and packed with a bread with a little crispy. We're new to the city and someone suggested to come here and I'm glad they did. Everything is top notch to taste. The staff is very pleasant and the smells are even better!
Great Italian market and sandwich shoppe. Locally made sausages and other meats, be prepared to wait for any of the aged meats, as excellence has to be given time BUT, well worth the wait time for a hand made, shop cured salami, look at the rafters when you walk in if you need a visual on what I mean! The mild, hot and sweet sausages go quickly some days, so if you plan to get fresh made, show up earlier in the day, or you may not find any left. The Traditional Italian side dishes and sandwiches are great, and did not skimp on the good stuff. Make sure to say hello to Giacomo if he is behind the counter. There is also an assortment of imported European kitchen materials to help you add to the sausages you take home to cook up. Bonus, if you grill the hot Italian sausages, and slice them thin, they make a great addition to a spaghetti sauce (the makings of which can usually be found on the shelves at Giacomos). The mild Italian sausages grilled make for a great change up for hot dog nights.
Our first time experience here was amazing, walking in all you smell is the fresh food. The customer service was outstanding and everyone was friendly, attentive and professional. The fresh tomatoes and mozzarella were to die for and paired perfect with your home made bread. My husband also purchased your home made meat balls and sauce with the cheese ravioli, added his perfect special touch he knows I love and the meal was amazing. We will definitely be back and highly recommend anyone to try this little slice of Italian heaven.
I went in to gather ingredients for a charcuterie board for Thanksgiving. The gentleman helping me was so enthusiastic about helping me pick out the best tasting meats and cheeses. He was so unbelievably helpful and informative, kind, patient, and just made my experience so wonderful! I can't wait to go back
Super cool Italian market and sandwich shop. I started at the top of the specialty sandwiches and plan to work my way down! Their fresh sausage looks incredible. They also have frozen take home dinners. The guy in front of me got one and said they are incredible. Next time!
