We absolutely love the seafood. My fiancé and I get the same thing every time because we fell in love the first visit. Disclaimer, Crab Du Jour was my first ever experience with a seafood boil type meal... but it's still my favorite. The onlyreason I give 4 out of 5 stars is because the service is always slow even when the employees outnumber the occupied tables. Theycould use some better tableside training as well.... In route from Charlotte to Raleigh I found this restaurant along the way. Ordered online and picked it up. I eat at Crab Du Jour weekly in Charlotte and I'm always pleased. However I ordered black mussels boiled in a bag and so did my husband. The musselswere a pale grey color, they were too chewy and had a bad taste. I'm not sure if it was just the time I went, but the place was dead...food was pretty good though.
Finished everything! My partner and I shared the Combo C option, added 1/2lb of shrimp, 1/2lb of snow crab, and corn on the cob with the Original Cajun and mild seasoning option. They gave us extra potatoes and corn (happy accident). Service was great. Our server was consistent, but didn't come by toooo much, which I like. I'm a sweet tea person, do not get their tea unless you're not picky. My partner is very picky especially with lemony things. He switched his tea to a soda because it was too heavy on lemon flavors or something, I didn't mind the tea much but I did notice it wasn't the best tea around. Otherwise, everything was very good. Our bill came up to $81 including tax, the food was super filling even when shared so keep that in mind! Service was fast and efficient. Food came out within 15 minutes of ordering! Moody lighting, plenty of space for large parties. Amazing R&B playlist was playing, so that boosted our experience as well. Would definitely love to come back.
