My coworker and I were in Greensboro for business and decided to look up restaurants in the downtown area. This place was one of the first results we found, and we’re so glad we did! What Astrid Haley doesn't like about 1618 Downtown:
I had dinner during the Open Downtown event this summer. The restaurant was nicely furnished along the street, providing a pleasant outdoor atmosphere with enough space between the tables. Menus were readily available. View all feedback.
We popped in for drinks and were blown away! Fab cocktails and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend!
My daughter brought me here last night for my birthday I 've only eaten at the 1618 Grille prior. I can 't believe how delicious, artful and perfectly prepared our oysters, crab dip, salmon and desserts were! It was matched by Rob S. 's impeccable, expert, friendly service first time I 've ever hugged my waiter at the end of the meal... And I should have gone into the kitchen and hugged chef Matt, too. Wonderful night.
We had an excellent dinner at the bar. The drink, Becky With The Good Hair, was tasty. My salmon was the BEST salmon dish I've ever had, hands down, and I've eaten a lot of salmon. My husband asked for a very rare steak, and he was very pleased when his ribeye came out barely cooked. We'll be back. :
Very friendly staff, great service, excellent food, reasonably priced. Will definitely return there again.
This is the second time coming, in over a year! Food and Service still awesome! A definite place to dine if you have not a pleasure.
