Booked last week and was a bit disappointed. Lovely atmosphere and the staff were very pleasant (when available). There was only two of us and we were served our mains 10 mins apart. The food was really nice but the dog roaming around was rather off putting, especially when it jumped up beside us and wasn't moved.(very poor). We did have a bit knocked off the bill but didn't really help with a first visit impression. Ok booked a table for our anniversary terrible experience waited over hours for our food ... toilets were flooded and the service was terrible nobody knew what was happening... we are still sitting waiting arrived at o'clock and its now ......very disappointing.. ok got our food eventually and it was very good .... what a shame if everything else was OK it would have been lovely
Getting takeaway food delivered to the house during lockdown. All food tasty with good portions and excellent value. A great easy way to eat when you get in from work but best of all a roast on a Sunday that only needs heated in the...oven bliss. Look forward to getting back to visit Fenwicks in person but this is the next best thing.
Waited minutes for food and u could clearly see the chef was struggling in the back on his own maybe a few more members of staff would help however food and service was great thanks guys
Beautiful small place, unpretentious and really tasty eating at a reasonable price. the service is a small hit miss but polite server and coworkers. lost a star for me just because of the toilets. the gents smelled strong of urin and was quite tatty compared to the restaurant and I think the ladies were not better. needs only a little dc and love to detail for the last star, but definitely recommend as eating and ambiente is good
The only place in the city we came over served haggis with neeps and tatties. fortunately, it was also a great place to have a few haggis because it was killer. the staff was also very nice when we were finished, he comes by with a shot scotch. a serious hospitable friend. an incredible bonus was when I asked which bee her on hahn and found her tennents, my favorite Scottish beer. what a good day for me. I also have a new best friend, holly. She kept my place warm when I went to the bathroom.
