I truly adore this bread—it's the best I've ever tasted! For every special occasion, I always make sure to grab some. I enjoy heating the unsliced loaf in the oven until it’s crispy, then slathering it with butter. Simply delicious! View all feedback.

One of my favorites is the cranberry walnut bread they offer on Saturdays, but I was really disappointed with the one I picked up today. There were no cranberries, just a few walnuts, and it seemed like some raisins were used instead. I wish I could share a picture of what I received. At $7.95, it just wasn't worth the trip today. Every brot we got was delicious. just finished the mandel poppy seeds dessert brot, which is amazing!
The prices are somewhat high, but the portions are generous. I recommend signing up for their loyalty program.
The raisin, cinnamon walnut bread was soooo good!!! Really good selection of breads and assortment of individual treats like muffins, scones, cookies ?
Been a customer of this location for 20--30 years. Great, fresh bread baked on site. Well, except not fresh. Baked elsewhere at a factory location. And except not so fresh, either because it's shipped in from the day before. The employees are great, too. A little slow, though and have to have orders repeated often. But they know the rules. All this said, don't need to use a restroom at this shop. They have rules at this store, you see. No one may use any bathroom at this shop. The rules say that you can't use a restroom here, no matter what. Need to go so bad you may have to pee on the floor, well, those are the rules. Rules are important, like they taught us in the 1940s in Germany. Rules are rules. On crutches or in a wheelchair with a disability like me? Too bad. They have rules. There may be a bathroom to use across an intersection like 76th and Layton Ave but maybe you'll make it. If not, well, they have the rules of course. After all, just because you're on crutches and need to go that doesn't meen you get to break the rules of this concentration cam... bakery... er, warehouse. I'm glad that they taught me well at this store by calling police. I lost control due to a severe nerve issue. Breadsmith taught me to do right. When my disabilith caused me to lose control of my bladder while in the store they taught me my lesson by calling police. If I'm about to lose control of my bladder I should go somewhere else. And if I should lose control and wet my pants like I did make sure to apologize profusely and make sure to mop the floor. That's what the friendly officer taught me. It may be a bit difficult to clean the floor while on crutches but, after all, rules are rules. And they have police to assure that I learn their lessons. Good day old bread, though. Just be sure not to have to pee here. You could wind up at Dach.. er, in jail.

The items I purchased were delicious, with the baguette having a soft center and crunchy crust, the honey white bread pairing well with eggs, and the blueberry jam being a standout. I am looking forward to trying it with crepes and strawberries. The whole experience was fantastic, with friendly and knowledgeable staff and excellent food. I highly recommend giving this bakery a try and approaching it with a smile, as it truly enhances the overall experience. Thank you Christine and thank you to the bakery for a wonderful visit.
Staff is always so nice. Best bread around. My daughter will eat toast everyday if it's Breadsmith rustic Italian. If I buy regular store bought bread it will go bad as no one will eat it! Definitely worth the few extra dollars.
I bought a $20 gift card at this restaurant and received a complimentary loaf of their daily bread. By signing up for their email list, you can also receive monthly coupons.

One of my favorites is the cranberry walnut bread on Saturdays. So disappointed in the one I picked up today. No cranberries, few walnuts and I do think a few raisins were used instead. I wish I could attach the picture I took of it. $7.95 and a tripthere was not worth it today.
The best bread ever!!! I love to pick some up on special occasions. We will pop the unsliced loaf into a hot oven until it's crispy and then slather in butter!!! ???? ???? ? Yummy!!!
Today?s loaf of sourdough was a big disappointment. First of all, all the loaves of sourdough loaves on the rack were only lightly colored. Color is flavor and I was really hoping for a crispy crust. Secondly the sourdough flavor was particularly weakcompared to most of the sourdough loaves I?ve eaten in my life. Clerk who helped me was pleasant but workers in the back werehaving a bit of a disagreement. I have been to this location a couple times before and those visits were just ok. I think thiswas my last trip.
The bread and other bakery products are delicious. When we want something special, we'll pay the price. The service depends on which employee helps you. Some of them resist putting your loaf through the slicing machine and give varied excuses.
