We visited for dinner this past weekend now that they’ve extended their hours. The Delmonico steak was cooked to perfection and was absolutely delicious. I also tried a bite of my husband’s burger, and it was excellent as well. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that our meal was paced just right, even though we decided to take our time. What Julie R doesn't like about The Butcher, The Baker, And The Sandwich Maker:
It was great to find a small town deli and market on our road trip from Rochester to Unadilla. The reuben was tasty but a little greasy. My husband had a chicken panini that was also great. View all feedback.

First time here because I heard good things from the locals. Glad we stopped in. The other tables we occupied which is a good sign so we took a seat by the front window on the butcher shop side. The meats are house made, they use real butter and of course real local maple syrup. It's a family business and seeing the kids part of the interaction is refreshing. Lots of orders for pancakes which looked delicious but we ordered the stinky dumpster and dumpster diver. No skimping on fresh ingredients. the sautéed mushrooms were perfect with the caramelized onions and blue cheese. The husband had meats and pepper and onion omelette. Jewish rye bread and decent home fries. Well worth the stop and pick up a pound of bacon for home. It's really good. Will stop again when in town. Nice homey feel with upscale food.
Place smells in the back like rotting meat. They just dump things into their dumpster without bags. They steal totes from the nearby rite aid which is dangerous due to chemicals. The owners also scam other stores in the area. A couple people I know have gotten food poisoning there.
Was passing through from Ithaca and decided to stop in vs going to the other eateries on this street. glad we did. food was very tasty, service was courteous
My mother chose the Boss Hog omelette, which is filled with ham, bacon, and your choice of hot, sweet, or breakfast sausage, plus a selection of American, Swiss, provolone, or cheddar cheese, along with a side of toast and perfectly seasoned crispy potatoes. I couldn't resist stealing some of her potatoes (thanks, Mom!), though I didn't sample her omelette, as my meal left me completely stuffed. However, she said it was the best omelette she's had in this town and the neighboring Whitney Point. A special shoutout to the chef, Shane, who personally brought our order to the table. Normally, you place your order and pick it up at the counter, but they noticed my mother and I were engaged in conversation, which was a thoughtful touch from the kitchen staff. They serve Paul DeLima coffee, which is always a hit. As for the decor, the entrance has a charming, bright, and clean aesthetic. The chalkboard menus for specialty drinks are well-crafted and nicely fit with the café's rustic yet polished style. Richie, the gentleman behind the counter, was not only very friendly but also knowledgeable about the prices of the gift items and wholesale offerings. My mother couldn’t resist picking up some adorable festive sprinkles, especially considering the great prices. I highly recommend stopping by when you have the chance, or even planning a trip just for the delightful food and service!
